Privacy Policy Drafting

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us create a comprehensive Privacy Policy for Seven Hillz Productions Foundation. This document will outline how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information from our program participants, donors, event attendees, and website users.

Project Scope & Tasks:
Review & Research: Analyze industry-standard privacy policies for nonprofit organizations, particularly those working in education, media, and workforce development.
Drafting the Policy: Develop a clear and legally sound Privacy Policy that aligns with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for nonprofits.
Customization: Ensure the policy covers key areas such as:
Data collection and usage (student applications, donations, event sign-ups)
Third-party sharing and security measures
User rights and consent (opting in/out of communications)
Compliance with applicable legal requirements
Revisions & Finalization: Work collaboratively with our team to refine and finalize the policy for public use on our website and other platforms.
This policy will strengthen trust with our community and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. The volunteer’s expertise in legal writing, data privacy, or nonprofit policy development will be invaluable in achieving this goal.

At Seven Hillz Productions Foundation, our mission is to empower student filmmakers and underrepresented creatives by providing education, workforce development, and financial support. Strengthen Our Nonprofit’s Credibility & Compliance – A clear, legally sound Privacy Policy will help us align with best practices, meet compliance standards (such as GDPR & CCPA), and increase trust with donors, corporate sponsors, and grantmakers.

Support Growth & Expansion – As we continue to expand programs like the Benjamin Moses Jr. Scholarships, the ReelBack Film Summit, and our workforce development initiatives, we need a transparent privacy framework to scale effectively. Your contribution will lay the foundation for sustainable and ethical growth.

To ensure a smooth and successful collaboration, we have taken the following steps:

Internal Buy-In & Support:

Our leadership team is fully aligned on the need for a comprehensive Privacy Policy and is ready to implement it across all platforms.

Gathered Materials & Research:

We have identified key data collection points (e.g., scholarship applications, event registrations, donor contributions) that need to be addressed in the policy.
We’ve reviewed privacy policies from similar nonprofit organizations to help guide the structure and content.

Clear Implementation Plan:

Once finalized, the Privacy Policy will be published on our website, incorporated into our student and donor agreements, and included in our event registration processes.

We will also develop a simple FAQ for our community to help them understand their rights and data protection measures.
