Employee Handbook Update

We are looking for a volunteer who can develop volunteer and employee handbooks or make updates to our existing materials. We're hoping to find a partner with a background in HR and/or operations to improve transparency and accountability by clarifying our employees’ legal rights and our policies, benefits, and other expectations for performance and conduct in a new or revised employee handbook. This project will contain the following activities:

-Conducting an audit of our existing policies including reviewing our existing materials and asking any clarifying questions
-Identify policies that we should modify and any new policies or areas that should be addressed and included
-Present a detailed outline of a new handbook
-Finalize the handbook after receiving feedback from our team

This project directly supports our mission at Seven Hillz Productions Foundation by empowering underrepresented voices in film and entertainment through education, mentorship, and workforce development. By securing pro bono support, we can enhance our programs, expand our reach, and provide more opportunities for aspiring filmmakers.

To ensure success, we have gained internal buy-in from key stakeholders, gathered necessary materials, and aligned this project with our ongoing initiatives. We have also completed related projects through Taproot Plus, demonstrating our commitment to leveraging resources effectively. Once completed, our team will implement the project outcomes by integrating them into our educational programs, workforce initiatives, and community engagement efforts, maximizing the impact.

To prepare, we've designated a team member to oversee the project. We'll provide you with our existing Employee Handbook (if applicable), internal communications regarding employment policies, and any other employment policies that we have in place. The volunteer should expect to spend 15-20 hours over 4-5 weeks.
