Develop a Program Evaluation

NATIONAL Crisis Response Canines is dedicated to providing psychological first aid intervention through certified canine-handler teams, offering comfort and resilience to communities affected by crises. Our training and mentorship program is the backbone of our mission, ensuring that every handler-canine team is prepared, confident, and capable when deployed.

We are seeking a Program Design Specialist to support the development of key success metrics and evaluation frameworks for our training and mentorship program. This volunteer will play a vital role in ensuring that our training initiatives are effective, measurable, and aligned with NATIONAL’s mission and strategic goals. We are hoping to:

+Identify Key Success Metrics: Develop clear, measurable indicators to track training outcomes, team readiness, and overall program effectiveness.
+Design Evaluation Frameworks: Create processes to measure participant progress and program efficacy at specific intervals (e.g., pre-training, mid-training, post-training, and follow-up assessments).
+Implement Tracking Systems: Recommend tools or platforms for data collection and reporting on training performance metrics.
+Establish Feedback Loops: Design mechanisms for collecting feedback from trainees, mentors, and leadership to inform continuous improvement.

Your expertise will help NATIONAL ensure that every handler-canine team is not only well-prepared but also evaluated consistently and fairly throughout their training journey, and that the training methodology itself is being evaluated to ensure top-level efficacy. This work will directly contribute to our ability to train for, fundraise and deliver effective psychological first aid interventions to those who need it most.
