Create a Board Recruitment Plan
We are seeking an HR volunteer with a heart for service to help us develop a recruitment plan for new board members. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to bring on individuals who share our values and vision for the future.
At Greenhouse Art Initiative, a US registered nonprofit, we are dedicated to uplifting underserved children in Nigeria by providing essential resources in creativity, health, and leadership. Through the arts, we believe children develop lifelong skills that positively shape their futures. To grow and increase our impact, we need passionate volunteers like you!
Here’s how you’ll contribute:
• Collaborate with our leadership to identify key vacant roles that align with our mission.
• Conduct interviews with staff to evaluate past recruitment efforts and find opportunities for improvement.
• Develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract diverse candidates who reflect the communities we serve.
• Finalize the strategy by incorporating feedback from our team to ensure inclusivity and effectiveness.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about building inclusive teams and making a meaningful impact. Your expertise will help shape our future and empower children to thrive. We can’t wait to welcome you into our growing family and work together on a project that will transform lives. Join us and be part of something truly impactful!
This project is a top priority for Greenhouse Art Initiative as we are in a crucial growth phase. To effectively scale and reach more children in need, we require strong, mission-driven leadership at the board level. Developing an inclusive recruitment strategy will help us identify and attract the right individuals to guide our nonprofit toward long-term sustainability and success.
This project will directly support our mission of empowering underserved children in Nigeria by building a diverse board of leaders who can provide strategic direction, fundraising support, and accountability. With the right leadership in place, we will be better positioned to expand our programs, reach our goal of supporting 300 children in the first year, and ensure the organization thrives in the long run.
For a skilled volunteer, this project is a valuable investment of time because it offers the chance to make a lasting impact. By crafting a recruitment strategy, the volunteer will help shape the future of our organization, ensuring we have the leadership to grow and achieve our mission. This is an opportunity to apply HR expertise in a way that will meaningfully improve the lives of underserved children, creating a ripple effect that will extend far beyond the initial project.
At Greenhouse Art Initiative, we are excited and fully prepared to kick off our HR management and recruitment plan project for new board members! To set our volunteers up for success, we’ve already gathered all the essential information they’ll need. This includes a clear overview of our current board structure, the roles we need to fill, and the specific skills and expertise we’re looking for in future board members. We’ve also arranged for key staff and leadership to be available for interviews, ensuring the volunteers have a deep understanding of our values, mission, and past recruitment efforts.
Once the recruitment plan is completed, we have a detailed implementation strategy ready to go. We’ll immediately begin rolling out the new recruitment strategy, reaching out to diverse networks and communities that reflect the children we serve. Our leadership team will conduct interviews and assessments based on the new criteria, ensuring we bring in board members who are passionate about our mission and aligned with our vision. We’ll also establish ongoing evaluation checkpoints to ensure the strategy remains effective and inclusive as we grow.
We’re beyond excited to welcome new leaders who will help guide us into the future and ensure that Greenhouse Art Initiative continues to thrive and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in Nigeria!
