Leadership Coaching
We are looking for a volunteer skilled in executive coaching to work with our new Director.
Our people are what make our organization so effective, and as our Director steps into her first leadership role, we need your help to ensure she is as prepared as possible to navigate challenges and lead with confidence. Strengthening her empathy, agility, and decision-making skills will be crucial for her growth and the museum’s success.
We are specifically interested in coaching services focused on:
--Building and maintaining organizational culture
--Earning buy-in
--Vision coaching
--Leadership best practices
We hope our volunteer mentor can meet with Danielle 1-2 times per week for 60-90 minute coaching sessions. With the board’s full support, she is committed to applying what she learns to refine fundraising efforts, strengthen volunteer relationships, and enhance her ability to collaborate effectively with the board. Key insights and strategies will be documented and shared with her team to ensure lasting improvements and help our museum continue thriving as a community resource.
Hi, I’m Danielle Carey, the new Director of the Knox County Museum of Education. This is my first time in a leadership role, and I’m passionate about doing the best job I can for our museum and community. But I know I can’t do it alone. I’m looking for a volunteer mentor to help me grow as a leader—someone who can guide me in areas like fundraising, volunteer management, and working with our board, while also coaching me in leadership overall.
With your help, I want to build a positive culture at the museum, earn buy-in from stakeholders, and create a clear vision for where we’re headed. I’m committed to meeting regularly, taking what I learn to heart, and sharing those insights with my team to make lasting improvements.
If you’re passionate about leadership and want to make a real difference, I’d love to work with you. Your guidance will help me grow into the kind of leader our museum needs to thrive and serve our community for years to come.
With support from my board, I’ve identified the key areas where I need guidance: leadership development, fundraising, volunteer management, and working effectively with our board. I’m fully committed to meeting 1-2 times a week for 60-90 minute sessions with a mentor and have already set aside time in my schedule to make the most of this opportunity.
After each session, I’ll immediately apply the strategies we discuss to my work at the museum. My focus will be on refining fundraising efforts, strengthening volunteer engagement, and improving collaboration with our board. I’ll also document key insights along the way, developing an action plan to ensure lasting improvements.
The goal is to grow into a confident, focused leader and build a stronger, more connected museum that continues to thrive and serve our community.
