We are looking for a grant writer and/or messaging pro to support us with putting together boilerplate templates so we can have on hand to submit grant applications. These templates should include:
Cover Letter
Executive Summary
Statement of Need
Project or Program Description
Budget and Budget Narrative
Evaluation Plan
Sustainability Plan
Organizational Background

Are you a youth development advocate? Are you passionate about writing for causes that change the trajectory of generations, empowering historically marginalized communities? Are you interested in empowering BIPOC young women with college exposure and career development?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then this opportunity is for you! Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. is a college and career readiness nonprofit that serves young women 14-21 in Northern New Jersey from underserved backgrounds. We are looking for a passionate and experienced grant writer to help sustain our work by writing grants. This is fulfilling work! We do awesome things for the students we serve and all of our volunteers have had nothing but great experiences and remarks about our program. WE HOPE YOU SAY YES!

We have several grant applications written by our previous volunteer that can help with this project. We plan to apply for as many grants as we can put our hands on! We are gearing up for programming for next Spring and Summer and securing grants is essential to ensuring our programming can continue.

Organization Mission

Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Northern New Jersey that provides college and career exposure to high school girls from underserved backgrounds. We serve girls from low socioeconomic backgrounds who reside in Bergen, Essex, and Passaic counties. Our mission is to expose high school girls to higher education and high-earning careers through college tours, company site visits, and personal development workshops. Our solution is to equip girls with the skills to build self-confidence and develop a sense of self-worth. We advance college and career choices for young women through a continuum of mentorship, real-world life skills, and positive youth development.
