Website Design
Project Outline:
- The project will take place over multiple meetings, spanning six to nine weeks.
- The volunteer will help add new pages, manage program-specific updates, and make design improvements to better meet the needs of senior users.
- In the first meeting, the volunteer will discuss our desired features, technical expertise, and web capabilities.
- We prefer that the new pages be designed in Figma (or a similar design tool), as this will make it easier to collaborate, share feedback, and seamlessly hand off the design concepts to our web developer for implementation.
- The goal is to maintain and optimize the website’s structure and design for functionality and ease of use.
Out-of-scope activities:
-Ongoing web support
-Implementing designs
-Drafting website messaging
Are you passionate about using your web design expertise to make a meaningful difference? We are a senior advocacy nonprofit, and we need your help to enhance our website, making it more accessible and user-friendly for seniors, their families, and caregivers.
By volunteering with us, you’ll:
- Directly contribute to improving seniors' access to vital resources and support
- Build your portfolio with impactful work for a cause that matters
- Enjoy a flexible schedule with remote collaboration
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in web design, with a strong portfolio of work
- Experience with Webflow.com or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design, especially for senior-user accessibility
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma (or similar)
- Collaborative mindset and ability to provide creative suggestions for improvement
Your design skills will help us reach more seniors and improve their lives. Ready to make a difference? Volunteer with us today!
- We already have an existing website hosted on Webflow.com with an established color scheme and overall design, which we’d like you to build upon.
- We are open to suggestions for improvement to make the site more user-friendly and visually appealing, especially for our senior audience.
- We are prepared to brief you on our website platform, budget restrictions, branding collateral, and key information about our stakeholder groups and target audiences.
- We've compiled photos and developed language for the site, along with examples of websites we like to help guide the project.
- Our web developer is ready to implement the final design once it’s been approved.
