Outline a Volunteer Training & Onboarding Series

We are seeking a skilled volunteer to create an outline for our Volunteer Training and Onboarding series.

We need to increase the effectiveness of learning solutions to foster a collaborative and innovative culture with a team of committed volunteers. The end goal being to create a more captivating experience for our new volunteers and also showcasing our organization's mission and impact they would be a part of.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Volunteer Managers to define, identify and recommend formats, outlines and modalities to create an optimal learning experience for 3 volunteer onboarding programs
- Develop onboarding and learning materials from a blank slate
- Identify opportunities for innovative and creative approaches to learning and development
- Building in Diversity & Inclusion considerations into learning

Your Skills & Experience:
- Staff training and onboarding experience
- 1-2 years of experience in Instructional Design

This is a priority, as our volunteer force is growing but the dog overpopulation and city shelter's euthanasia rate is also growing - much faster.

We strive to continue to innovate and evolve by seeking to increase the effectiveness of learning solutions (like this!) to foster a collaborative and innovative culture with a team of committed volunteers who also want to save the pups!

The end goal being to create a more captivating experience for our new volunteers and showcase our organization's mission and impact they would be a part of.

We currently have detailed onboarding materials for any helpful reference as a starting point.
After this phase is completed, we plan to collaborate with a multimedia designer to implement this project with a secure CanvaPro link for our new Volunteers and have it live on the internal interface as well.
