Project

Apply Now

Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer or talented copywriter to assist our team in reviewing a grant proposal and making updates.

To implement this grant writing project, we'll need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document.

This project will NOT include the following:
-Ongoing grant submission or management support
-Grants research
-Direct solicitation
-Developing a fundraising strategy

We serve a growing need in the Texoma community, providing essential resources to families, mothers, and children facing economic hardships. As our organization expands, securing sustainable grant funding is critical to continuing our work. Without it, we’re limited in our ability to meet the increasing demand for diapers, formula, food, and clothing. This project is a priority because it ensures we can not only maintain but also grow our services to meet the most urgent needs. Our mission is to empower families by providing access to essential items during key stages of life, such as pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood. By securing grant funding, we’ll be able to: Scale our operations to assist more families, Expand services, including emergency food assistance, Build partnerships with local food pantries, shelters, and emergency services, Sustain daily operations, ensuring long-term stability and impact.

Grant funding allows us to meet immediate needs while positioning us for future growth, directly aligning with our mission to empower families and lift them out of hardship. Volunteering as a grant writer offers the opportunity to directly impact families in need. You’ll gain valuable experience, build your resume, and see the real-world results of your work as more families receive life-changing assistance. Join a passionate team where your skills and contributions will have a lasting, meaningful impact on the community.

I've created multiple documents in anticipation for required information that will be needed. Our nonprofit needs financial support from grants, as we are just starting and have been funding expenses out of pocket. We have already seen tremendous growth in the short time of operating and really need a funding game plan - this proposal template will be a step in the right direction. We have gotten 2 monthly (annual) sponsorships and have set up fundraising efforts to coincide with community sponsored events that we have a booth at. We have received some in-kind donations for raffles or auctions to hold at these events at our booth - it seems that most grants I've looked in to won't resume until after the new year.
