Video Editing for Start-Up Nonprofit

We are looking for video editing to describe our program work for a number of different audiences across several platforms. Our organization is a newly-formed, anchor organization providing climate resilience planning support for underserved communities in eastern NC. Our small staff and board have extensive experience in climate resilient planning and represent the communities we serve. We provide support in the form of community organizing, climate education, partnership development, grant-writing, and project implementation.

The three rural, adjacent communities we serve are also highlighted in the recent documentary Silver Dollar Road on Amazon. I'd highly recommend watching this documentary to understand the history and context of the area. We are looking for support in photo and video editing and compilation in order to tell the story of the community and the work. This content will be used on social media, our website, with partners and with funders.

We hope that our efforts to implement just, climate resilient planning and project support will help to right wrongs done and provide healing and hope for the communities we work with. Our particular projects are seeking to build a fisherman's wharf and work opportunities through mariculture and agriculture, a community center, provide emergency services for climate disaster, and assist with long-term planning for sea level rise, among other projects identified by the community. We are in the process of organizing several community planning workshops this fall, we have convened a number of local and state partners to implement projects, and we have a photographer ready to assist in collecting the content.
