Update Design of a Nonprofit Website (WordPress)
We seek a web designer to create structure and design options for our nonprofit website. We are currently using WordPress with numerous plugins.
We are in need of making our website mobile-friendly and fully accessible. The volunteer should assess and incorporate our goals and needs and consider our key audiences: artists, donors, community members and small businesses. The designer should also assess our technical capabilities. The project's deliverable is a draft of architecture and design concepts that we can easily share with a web developer volunteer or a member of our team who will use the guide to create our new site.
Our work will take place over multiple meetings in six to nine weeks. In our first meeting, the volunteer should interview us about our desired features, our web capabilities, and our technical expertise. Then, they'll synthesize the information into a requirements briefing. We'll engage in various check-ins, where the Executive Director and members of our team will provide feedback. The volunteer will audit our current site to create a draft of site architecture and design options including wireframes, site structure, and other visual elements.
Blue Line Arts is seeking a design-savvy volunteer to collaborate on an exciting project to revitalize our WordPress website. As a volunteer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a mobile-friendly, accessible platform that connects artists, donors, community members, and small businesses with our vibrant arts community.
Your tasks will include conducting initial interviews with our team, synthesizing requirements into detailed design concepts, and crafting user-friendly wireframes and site structures. Your creativity and technical expertise will shape the future of our online outreach efforts.
If you're ready to make a difference and leave your mark on a thriving nonprofit arts organization, we can't to hear from you! Let's create something inspiring together at Blue Line Arts!
We are prepared to brief you about our current website platform, budget restrictions for the build, our branding collaterals and norms, and information about our stakeholder groups and target audiences. We've compiled some photos we'd like to incorporate and have some language developed that we will share with you along with samples of sites we like. We will share an assessment of our current website's strengths and areas needing improvement.
To implement the project effectively once it's complete, we plan to take the following steps. After receiving the draft architecture and design concepts from the volunteer web designer, we will review and refine them in collaboration with the Executive Director and team members. We'll prioritize user-friendly navigation, aesthetic appeal, ease for administrative use by staff, and accessibility enhancements to ensure the website aligns with our organizational goals and mission.
Once finalized, we'll engage with a web developer volunteer to execute the recommendations and updates. This phased approach ensures that the redesigned website not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our diverse audience. Regular check-ins and feedback loops will be integral to refining and optimizing the website throughout the implementation phase, ensuring a seamless transition and a robust online presence for Blue Line Arts.
