Define Brand Guidelines for STEM Nonprofit

Our Mission is "Nurturing the future workforce by providing practical and hands-on STEM experiences for local youth." Charlotte was ranked as the 50th of 50 large cities in an economics mobility study back in 2014 by Dr. Raj Chetty. The subsequent research led by Opportunity Insights, its latest Charlotte Opportunity Initiative report was released in November 2020 shows the challenge remains significant. At the same time, the demand for the skill trade and STEM professionals keep increasing. The data is showing that we have the “Lost Einsteins” problem that youth of certain groups never get enough help to reach their fullest potential. We believe STEM professions are an important part of the solution to improve economic mobility. It is critical to help students, at least in high school, if not earlier, to picture themselves in STEM careers. It is our responsibility to create a safe environment to help them to explore their interests, strength, and passion through project based learning. Our teams are using the FIRST robotics program where students build robots to compete in team events. This is a sport “where everyone can turn pro”. Each team is run like a business and it is way beyond robots. We need all skills. Are you skilled in writing, marketing, event planning, design, wiring, coding, 3D modeling? We need you.
