Accounting System Recommendation & Set Up
We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up a bookkeeping system and/or software from scratch!
You'll help us set up regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices by spending 20-25 hours with us over 4-5 weeks. In our first meeting, we'll share a detailed description of our existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems. In phase one of the project, you'll migrate our data over to our new software and help us set up our account administrator privileges for our users. In the second phase of our project, you will provide one or two of our team members with basic training. We ask that you make yourself available for up to two weeks to address our questions as we adjust to the new software and systems.
Our organization is still in its early stages, but we are already working on three projects and potentially a fourth that we need support in the best way to manage our accounts. We are working on two schools and a program to fund students' individual educations in Pakistan, and we want to start tracking our budget in a more organized fashion to ensure that we have money to spend on other T&M and eventually pay our organization leads. As a family-founded nonprofit, it would be really great to get support on properly managing our finances to ensure that we keep according to our budget.
We have researched into accounting software, but have not finalized one yet. We do have the budget to pay for a premium membership if necessary. We've had very basic training and have reviewed their guidelines on how to manage the system and run basic reports. We will designate a member of our team who will manage the volunteer and the project.
