Grant Writing for Nonprofit Supporting Early-Stage Entrepreneurs
Village Capital is searching for a grant writer to assist our team in writing one-pagers, grant proposals, and pitch decks. The volunteer will work closely with our team to identify relevant grant opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and submit applications in a timely manner. The primary goal of this project is to increase our organization's funding sources to support our mission and programs.
Village Capital is dedicated to unlocking capital for early-stage entrepreneurs who are building emergent solutions for social, economic, and environmental challenges worldwide. As Village Capital continues to grow its impact and reach, it requires a robust funding base and strategic partnerships to support its operations and programs effectively.
The project aims to expand Village Capital's fundraising and partnership development efforts to secure additional support for its mission of fueling the growth of sustainable and impactful businesses. By engaging with volunteers to lead these efforts, Village Capital aims to strengthen its financial sustainability and create long-term partnerships that align with its mission of supporting early-stage entrepreneurs.
First, we assessed our current grant writing capacity and recognized the need for a skilled volunteer to enhance our efforts in this area. We then carefully defined the responsibilities and qualifications required for the volunteer grant writer role. Additionally, we developed a detailed project description outlining the scope of work and expectations for the volunteer position. Finally, we established a clear contact point for interested volunteers to reach out and express their interest in the role.
Once we recruit the volunteer grant writer and complete the project, we plan to implement the following steps:
1. Onboarding: Introduce the volunteer to our organization, mission, and team members. Provide access to relevant resources and information needed for grant writing.
2. Collaboration: Work closely with the volunteer to identify grant opportunities, gather necessary information, and develop grant proposals.
3. Review and Feedback: Review draft proposals with the volunteer, provide feedback, and collaborate on revisions to ensure the proposals meet the requirements and align with our organization's goals.
