Develop a Templated Communications Plan
Our nonprofit needs support crafting a templated communications plan. We are launching a Reuse Awareness Campaign in 2024 and plan to launch one annually in the future.
We are working with a team of students from the CCA tbd* program to design the campaign, but we need to develop a plan and budget for rolling it out. The communications plan should include a local and statewide plan as we will be launching a fundraising campaign to raise funds for the broadest possible reach. Ideally, it would also include a strategy/budget for advertising research to measure the effectiveness of the messaging to inform the following year's effort.
This project should take from 12-24 hours to complete. We're hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2-5 hours of their time per week.
Reuse Alliance advocates for, collaborates with, and supports Reuse Practitioners who are working to keep materials recirculating in our communities. We hear over and over again that supply is not the problem (we have so much stuff), but we need to increase demand. The Reuse Awareness Campaign aims to do just that. We hope to not only raise the profile of reuse but over the life of the campaign, to provide valuable information to Reuse Practitioners about what messaging is most effective.
To prepare for this project, we have created a brief for the design team, including goals, target audience, and deliverables, created a timeline for the campaign, and gathered a preliminary list of potential outlets.
Once we have a clear communications plan (including a budget) and tasks, we will roll out a fundraising campaign to determine the scale of the campaign, assign the tasks, finalize the designs, and implement the campaign.
