A concise SWOT analysis report that identifies strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to our upcoming rebrand, with prioritized strategic recommendations and an executive summary. Specific scope and supporting materials will be provided during volunteer interviews and executive director available to talk in more detail anytime.
This SWOT analysis will help refine our brand strategy so we can better catalyze collective action for a healthy ocean and a stable climate. We are a lean operation with an ambitious mission and during these challenging times, we feel that this project will significantly help us fully leverage the power of youth and help bring about some transformative change for a better future. Clearer positioning will support engagement with youth leaders, our global World Ocean Day network, strengthen partnerships and enhance our outreach around World Ocean Day and year-round advocacy.
We're a lean operation that has been evolving since we launched in 1998. We pivoted several years ago and our focus is now on building the next generation of leaders for a healthy ocean and a more stable climate. We are eager to collaborate with the volunteer! Our staff of 3 is creative and intergenerational and looking forward to getting involved in making this project as successful as possible. We will provide more info and details on our background and our plans for going forward, and all other critical info necessary for an effective SWOT analysis by an outside expert. We're looking for comprehensive and actionable recommendations that our team can use to guide rebrand decisions and help us empower young people worldwide and leverage our global network to work together in transformative ways to build a stronger movement for a sustainable, equitable society and a healthy blue planet where all living things can thrive.

Organization Mission

The Ocean Project catalyzes collective action for a healthy ocean and a stable climate. By collaborating with youth leaders, aquariums, zoos, museums, and other community organizations we are growing a global network that effectively engages the public, informs policymakers, and strives to protect our blue planet. Since 2002, we have globally coordinated World Ocean Day as a unique opportunity to raise the profile of the ocean and support engagement and action in fun and empowering ways on June 8 each year, with continued involvement year-round. Everything The Ocean Project does is based on the values of collaboration and community, inclusion and impact, and respect for all people and life with whom we share this blue planet. We recognize that a healthy ocean is essential for life, allowing humans and the rest of nature to survive and thrive. One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together
