We are preparing two signature fundraising events in 2027 — A Serenade for Strength: Honoring Her Service | Healing Her Journey (March 2027) and the Honoring Our Heroes Gala (October 2027). Veterans Health and Wellness Foundation has established programs, partnerships, event experience, prior sponsorship materials, and relationships across healthcare, corporate, government, philanthropic, and Veteran communities, but we have no dedicated development staff. We need senior fundraising and sponsorship expertise to translate these existing assets into sustainable financial support, set realistic goals and revenue mix, identify and prioritize prospects across corporate, foundation, and major-donor channels, and plan outreach beginning in Fall 2026. We also want to use these events to build long-term corporate and philanthropic relationships rather than one-time sponsorships.

We are looking for a volunteer with senior fundraising and corporate sponsorship expertise to create a practical, actionable plan we can implement. The volunteer will:
- Deliver a comprehensive 2027 fundraising and corporate sponsorship strategy for both signature events that includes recommended fundraising goals and a proposed revenue mix.
- Refine sponsorship architecture by defining sponsorship levels, associated benefits, and clear value propositions for corporate and foundation partners.
- Produce a prioritized prospect framework and an initial high-priority prospect pipeline for corporate sponsors, foundations, and major donors (including suggested target segments and rationales).
- Develop donor and sponsor cultivation and solicitation strategies plus a fundraising and outreach timeline beginning Fall 2026 and running through October 2027.
- Provide a practical prospect-tracking and follow-up framework and recommendations for converting event sponsors and donors into year-round VHWF partners.
- Recommend improvements to our case for support and sponsor messaging tailored to the audiences above.
All outputs should be practical for implementation by our President, Chair, Board, and key volunteer leaders and designed for remote collaboration.
