In the Bay Area, the Oakland Leaf Foundation works to cultivate community transformation through creative education for youth and families. Started in 2002 by a group of Oakland educators, Oakland Leaf provides innovative programs and services that address the physical, cognitive, and social and emotional needs of Oakland’s youth and families. Because they recently expanded to three new schools, their current strategic priorities center around deepening impact in those communities. Subsequently, they come Taproot seeking help to measure impact of the Oakland Peace Camp. This summer program uniquely brings middle and high school youth together for leadership development.

With impressive organizations like these, how could you not get involved?
If one of these projects – or any other – seems like a great fit for you, log in and let the Account Director for that project know why you’re interested. Don’t be afraid to reach out to multiple Account Directors. Staffing on some projects can be competitive.
As always, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be staffed on any particular project, but we guarantee that we couldn’t do this without you.
