Orange & Black in the Bay Area – The Colors of October

It’s back: our Pro Bono Resource Fair!

Orange and Black. No, I’m not talking about Halloween although I’m quite excited to see my 5 year old in her unicorn costume after spending five hours online looking for the PERFECT one. And no, I’m not even talking about the SF Giants, although as of this morning, I can feel the World Series coming back to town. I am referring to Pro Bono Week, which is literally right around the corner!

As you can imagine, at Taproot every week is pro bono week and the concept seems to be catching on, with more than 2 million LinkedIn members raising their hands to do skills-based volunteering. But even at Taproot, it feels special to have this one week to reflect on, celebrate, and inspire more good pro bono!

So join us! If you happen to be in the Bay Area next Thursday, 10/23, I hope that you will join us at The Foundation Center, which is partnering with us for the third straight year to host our Pro Bono Resource Fair. We have 14 pro bono providers, who are eager to connect to great nonprofits who need their pro bono services:

  • Bayes Impact
  • DataKind
  • Deloitte
  • HandsOn Tech Silicon Valley
  • Harvard Business School Community Partners
  • Hewlett-Packard
  • Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund
  • Justice & Diversity Center | Pro Bono Legal Services Program
  • NetSuite
  • The 1%, a program of Public Architecture
  • Salesforce.com Foundation
  • Stanford Alumni Consulting Team
  • Taproot Foundation
  • The Berkeley Group

At around 1:30pm, we will provide a sneak preview of our new online pro bono marketplace, where nonprofits will be able to directly connect with pro bono professionals. Come and learn how you can participate in the marketplace! Register here.

Let’s go, Pro Bono Week!
