National Volunteer Week is Around the Corner—Is Your Nonprofit Ready?

April 19-2025 is National Volunteer Week, a time to celebrate the impact of volunteers in our communities. It’s also a time when Taproot sees a surge in volunteers coming to our platforms–and the perfect opportunity for nonprofits like yours to connect with expert capacity-building support!

How can your organization take advantage of the surge in volunteers during National Volunteer Week?

Taproot Plus is the place to be during National Volunteer Week! Skilled professionals come to the platform looking to connect with causes they’re passionate about. If there’s a marketing, HR, tech, data, operations, or strategy challenge your organization needs to tackle, now is the to post it! We recommend submitting your one-hour Session or longer term Project by April 13 to ensure it’s ready to go for National Volunteer Week.

How to connect your nonprofit with skilled volunteer support:

1. Login or register for a nonprofit account on Taproot Plus.

2. Under “Your Listings” in the center of the dashboard, select “Create Project” or “Create Session.”

3. Not sure which to select?

    • Sessions are 1-hour consultations used for quick brainstorming, problem-solving, or getting expert advice on a specific question.
    • Projects are multi-week partnerships where you/your team work with a volunteer on a concrete deliverable, like updating your HR handbook or refreshing your website.

4. Fill out the info and submit your Session or Project and the Taproot team will review it in 3-4 days. They’ll either publish your request or reach out if it needs a little clarification.

5. Remember to submit your opportunity by April 13 to ensure it’s up in time for National Volunteer Week!
