If you’ve been on our home page recently, you may have noticed the value of pro bono services delivered by Taproot to date has climbed above $140 million. We’re proud of that number.
But you know what would make us even prouder? If you helped us reach $150 million – and beyond.
Here’s more good news: Four times a year, our Service Grant Program offers opportunities to do just that, and now is one of those times. As we head toward the end of this year, we are excited to be starting a new journey with nonprofits in each of our five cities. We’re embarking on new Service Grants ranging from Human Resources Capacity Builds, to Annual Reports, to Salesforce Implementations.
If you’re already a Taproot pro bono consultant, check out the Service Grants below – just a few of those that will be staffing this quarter. While we’ve highlighted three projects, there are several more exciting projects in each of our five cities as well (SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, and New York City).
If one of these projects – or any other – seems like a great fit for you, log in and let the Account Director for that project know why you’re interested. Don’t be afraid to reach out to multiple Account Directors. Staffing on some projects can be competitive.
As always, we can’t guarantee that you’ll be staffed on any particular project, but we can guarantee that we couldn’t do this without you.
If you’re not yet a pro bono consultant, apply today. We’d love to see if there’s a great fit for you!
SF Bay Area
Imagine a world where every child feels safe, loved, and celebrated. That’s the vision at Challenge Day, a Bay Area nonprofit based in Concord. With a 26-year history, Challenge Day’s signature program is an experiential workshop that helps students overcome cultural, social, and economic differences and build a powerful, connected school community. The organization continues to make a huge impact, but needs support with its visual identity and brand strategy, which has some strong elements, but has evolved over time and lacks clarity and integration with the strategy and key messages. By supporting this effort, you can help increase the impact Challenge Day can achieve on youth, and touch the lives of millions of students.
This Visual Identify and Brand Strategy Service Grant will staff a Project Manager, Brand Strategist, Marketing Manager, Copywriter, and Graphic Designer.
Los Angeles
If you live in Los Angeles, working to develop a new brochure for APAIT might be right up your alley. The mission of APAIT, a division of Special Service for Groups, is to positively impact the quality of life for medically underserved communities living with or at-risk for HIV/AIDS and other health disparities. This new agency brochure will highlight the agency’s programs and quality record of service and will help improve recruitment efforts to new client populations.
This Brochure Service Grant will staff a Project Manager, Marketing Manager, Copywriter, Graphic Designer, and Photographer.
Chicago
Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC) is a Chicago nonprofit committed to ending domestic violence. Using a self-help, empowerment approach, CAWC operates the Greenhouse Shelter for women and children, counseling, advocacy, and a 24-hour hotline for people affected by domestic violence. In light of the challenging economic climate and the uncertainty of government funding, CAWC is looking for support with a Financial Analysis project. This project will further CAWC’s ability to achieve their mission by making the best possible decisions about programs that help them maintain a healthy budget and ultimately ensures that they are able to provide quality services to victims of abuse.
This Financial Analysis Service Grant will staff a Project Manager, Financial Consultant, and two Financial Analysts.
